Scope of Work: This document should cover the work for the repair of structural concrete, which might include repair of the concrete surface due to honeycomb, tie rod holes, and other imperfections; repair due to concrete surface cracking; and repair due to water leakage.
Work Flow Chart: A chart or diagram that outlines the steps in the repair process can be useful to visualize the workflow.
Mapping: A sketch of the surface defect should be prepared indicating the location as reflected in the drawing. All surface defects should be given an ID number for easy reference.
Surface Preparation: Surface preparation should be done in accordance with the materials manufacturer’s recommendations, as indicated in the method of statement and technical data sheet for the specified product.
Defect Category Identification and Treatment Method: After surface preparation of the affected area, types of defects and classifications of treatment should be established.
Treatment Application: Mixing, application, and curing should be done in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations.
Equipment to be Used: A list of all necessary equipment should be included.
Safety Control: Before starting the work, it should be ensured that technical specifications of each product were carefully carried out to avoid any problem at the site.
Personal Protective Equipment: All required PPE such as helmet, safety shoes, eye protectors, masks, and rubber gloves should be provided and maintained for all workers doing the repair works.
Barricades, Signs, and Materials to be Used: Safety and warning sign boards should be installed, barricades should be erected to isolate the working area, and all materials required for this work should be properly stored and identified at areas designated for this purpose. Any scaffolding to be used should be inspected prior to use.
Products to be Used: A list of all materials and products to be used in the repair process should be included.
